How did we receive Him? By grace, through faith, which is how He wants us to daily walk in Him. The same faith (in response to His grace) that said "I cannot do this on my own. I desperately need your grace" is the faith by which we can live moment by moment. That amazing grace that saved still saves still causes these blind eyes to see And still is a very sweet sound To me! And, you will notice that the last thing on the Grace based side of the chart says, "Leads to organic obedience." The natural byproduct of approaching our relationship with God from a firm understanding of His grace, is that we in turn lead an obedient life. But when we have an obedience-based relationship with God, we often miss the message of His grace and end up working over time to please Him. My faith builds in my a desire to be obedient to Christ and His word and will for my life. Your obedience list may better be called something along the line of "works-based" or something. Using the term obedience in this way would cause me to NOT want to be obedient. I am not looking for fire insurance. I have faith based on grace, not works- and out of my love I desire to be obedient. Lists aren’t too bad-I just don’t agree with the titles-obedience vs. grace.
