Discover Your Child’s Heart

KFP-resource-of-the-month

Today is going to be a great day at Family Matters!

I have the awesome opportunity to introduce you to another smokin, hot resource from the one and only Dr. Tim Kimmel.  (I’m sure he hates when I intro him this way…but somebody’s gotta keep it a bit ridiculous around here)

And NO, they don’t pay me anything to say this stuff!!

So let’s get started…

Let me take just a sec and introduce you to my kiddos, also known as Team Sprad.

My youngest son, Tifton Jackhammer, is the Team Sprad introvert.

My middle daughter, Miss Kylie Faith, is the boss of the family and my oldest son, Cole-Train…Train…Colar-bear, is the all about people, never shuts up, extrovert.  He is for sale for only $19.95 and for $29.95 we’ll throw Miss Kylie Faith in as well.

Yeah, not so much…anyway!

Last year Cole-Train and I sat down to watch one of our favorite movies, Napoleon Dynamite.  Cole and I love Uncle Rico, Napoleon and you just gotta love the Kipster!!

So Tifton walks into the room, sits down by me, I’m laughing so hard that I need Depends…Tifton watches for about 10 minutes, gets up and says “THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!”

And our conversation goes something like this…

DAD:  “What’s the problem Tifton?”  “You don’t ever like any of the movies that I enjoy.”

TIFTON:  “I just don’t think it’s very funny.”

DAD:  “Tifton, this stuff is hilarious…what’s the problem?”

TIFTON:  “Dad, you just don’t know me very well.  You don’t know what I like and what I don’t like.”

My 9 year old son ripped my heart out, threw it on the ground, jumped all over it and handed it back to me.

But you know what…The Jackhammer was right!

I had spent several years attempting to mold Tifton into WHO I THOUGHT HE SHOULD BE instead of pulling out of him WHO GOD MADE HIM TO BE.

So this is where Dr. Tim Kimmel’s Kids Flag Page comes in.

The Kids Flag Page is a “game” that is designed to help parents understand their kiddos unique and God given DNA.

Sit down and play this game and you will…

  • Discover the way God uniquely hardwired your children individually and how to best relate to them.
  • Find the six key things that motivate your child
  • Find out what your children love most about life.
  • Connect to the heart of your child.
  • Learn the do’s and don’ts of how to motivate, encourage, discipline and help each child succeed in life.
  • Learn how to raise your kids in the power of God’s grace.
  • Discover how to bring the best out of your strong-willed kids.

So BAM!!  There you go!

Team Sprad has dove into The Kid’s Flag Page and it has absolutely changed the way that I parent.  I no longer push Tifton to be like Cole, I get that what motivates Cole drives Kylie crazy and that Tifton is nowhere like any of the other two.

Pick this resource up and it will absolutely revolutionize your family!

I am so thankful to Dr. Tim and the Family Matters Team that they are using their God given passion, dreams and creativity to change families all over the planet!
