Grace Filled Marriage, Dr. Tim Kimmel, Family Matters, Marriage

Do you ever look  at your spouse and feel like you’re miles apart? You love them dearly, obviously, but just feel you need to re-connect?

Here’s a Top Ten list of ways that I have learned and used to re-connect with my husband and wanted to share them with you!

  1. Take time to laugh and be silly.
  2. Hold hands while driving together in the car.
  3. Cook a meal together.
  4. Thank them often.
  5. Get involved in their hobbies {or at least just ask about what excites them about it}.
  6. Hug for a minimum of 30 seconds.
  7. Leave a love note for them to find {in their wallet, car, or on the bathroom mirror}.
  8. Brag about them on social media or in a group setting.
  9. Reminisce about first dating experiences.
  10. Compliment them often.

Of course each couple is different, each culture is different, and each environment is different – but we can all find little ways to help remove the wedge that might be keeping your spouse close to your heart.

Do you have any tips you’d like to share? Comment below – I’d love to add more to my list!
